I’m Medusa. The evil monster. I am a beast, a terrible gorgon. For hair I have writhing snake’s, my skin is made of the hardest scale’s, and my eyes could turn any creature into stone if they met my gaze. I was not always hideous and evil, once I was a radiant maiden, a maiden in love. My lover came to me and paid me a visit, whispering my name, so I asked him what was he doing in my present's or my father would kill him, and he told me to meet him at the temple at midnight, but I said as he faded away, he said midnight my love. I crept forth from my abode and met my young lover at the temple of Athena, a place where no mortal would think to look for two in passion. Medusa he said, you made it, now we can finally prove our love, yes I said. Athena did not take kindly to lover’s using her sacred grounds for recreation. I gasp as soon as I saw Athena, foolish mortals, how dare you use my temple to satisfy your primitive lusts, Athena said. My lover was taking the blame and said it was his entire fault and how he asked me to come. Athena said no he would not make that decision and how she would see to that. She left a punishment reserved for me, something that would leave me begging for the same fate as my lover, she cursed me, No I shouted crazy. She explained my curse to me, she said where my golden locks once stood, snakes will curl and slither, no adoring man will look upon me now, unless he wanted to be made of stone. I screamed and hissed of disagreement. I had become a horrific fiend; my face became as hard as stone as my heart had long ago. I had no clue that Perseus, the young hero from Argos would come for the head of the gorgon to give to the evil king who was named Polydectes, and he asked for Perseus mom's hand in marriage, so he told Perseus to attend the wedding only if he could afford a gift, and Perseus said I’ll get you a gift, I’ll get you the head of the gorgon, and Polydectes doubted Perseus in getting the head of the gorgon. Perseus came after me and my three sisters and he made me meet the gaze of the mirror when I was trying to meet the gaze of him but he got me to meet the mirrors gaze and he got a hold to the head of the gorgon, so he went to pay Polydectes a visit and made him meet my gaze and I hardened Polydectes which was the evil king to stone. I died when Perseus took the head of the gorgon because it was my head, and Perseus and his mom lived happily ever after when things were settled. That’s my story.
